As we feel the tendrils of autumn blowing our way, I’ve been grasping onto the memories of the summer shoots, when life seems simple and children roam without a care in the world.
I’ve had so many lovely family photo sessions this year, and they have really encapsulated this feeling that I describe. The light has been wonderful, essential for creating striking photographs, and the nature of all the children has been sensitive and warm…just like the weather.
I’m sure you must think I was in another country…so very un-British to rave about the weather! But no, here in old Blightly, surrounded by our glorious woods and countryside, in the height of summer, I had lots of fun!
But as the nights draw in and there is a chill in the air, don’t despair…those autumn colours are glorious, and there’s nothing better than wrapping up in warm woollies and romping around in the great outdoors to create some magnificent photographs that will stand the test of time.
